The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Atiku Bagudu has revealed that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu intends to promote, listen and resolve problems within the Private Sector as this is a proven method of governance that has worked over the years.
He made this known when the Ambassador of Spain to Nigeria, Amb Jual Sell, led a group of delegation to his office on a courtesy visit, recently.
Sen. Bagudu extended his appreciation to the Ambassador for his support and leadership role in Nigeria’s relationship; he described the Spanish envoy as investors who had demonstrated their passion for long term economic investment in the country.
Referencing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s success during his time as the Governor of Lagos State, the minister said the President had demonstrated that inclusive governance and long term economic growth were factors necessary for any flourishing government.
He further disclosed that a number of institutional alignment had taken place in the government that was structured to create opportunities and also help to highlight the importance of such sector.
Bagudu therefore pledged the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate closely with Spain and provide necessary information to encourage potential investors.
Amb. Jual Sell, who spoke earlier, said he envisaged a stronger partnership which would engender building a more ambitious agenda between Nigeria and Spain. He encouraged the Ministry to present proposals and suggestions for the EU and Nigeria as they hoped to be partners in confronting future challenges.
He said they were looking forward to the Ministerial dialogue expressed in October. Sell further solicited for adequate support to explore their good intentions.
